Board certified hair transplant surgeon Diplomate American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and Fellow Member of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery , Dr. Julieta Peralta- Arambulo, is also a graduate of the Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (1983) and completed her Dermatology specialty training in the Skin and Cancer Foundation of the Philippines in 1988. Having earned the distinction of a Board-certified Dermatologist, she topped the written board exam ,became a Diplomate in 1990 and Fellow in 1993 of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS).
She developed the interest in hair transplant procedure when she was a Resident physician in 1986 at the Skin and Cancer Foundation (SCF) ,a PDS-approved dermatologic training institution in the Philippines founded by Dr. Sylvia Jacinto, who is one of the pioneer dermatologic surgeons in our country.
Dr. Arambulo started hair transplant procedure since residency training at SCF under mentors Drs. Sylvia Jacinto and Vermen Verallo. They performed the 4mm punch large hair grafts hair transplant procedure, a technique introduced by Dr. Norman Orentreich in 1952. Though the old punch technique also called “hair plugs "had unnatural result, Dr. Arambulo has remained fascinated by the growth of hair.Since then ,her passion in dermatologic surgery is more focused on hair restoration procedure.
In 1997 , she learned the end refinement in hair transplant , the Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) STRIP surgery, under Dr. Allan K. Yung of Anew Medical Group Clinic in Willshire ,California. Dr. Arambulo FUE hair transplant surgeon mentor was Dr. Jim Harris from Denver, Colorado. He is also one of the collaborators in Artas Robotic FUE technology.
Dr. Arambulo is a supporter of the ISHRS hair transplant program that only surgeons perform the surgery.
Dr. Arambulo performs the 3 techniques in hair transplant surgery namely, the FUSS (Follicular Unit Strip Surgery} , FUE ( Follicular Unit Extraction also called Follicular Unit Excision) and Body Hair Transplant.

In 2011 , Dr. Arambulo became the President and Founder of the Asian Hair Restoration Center .She continues to update herself with the new developments and techniques in hair restoration surgery by attending various scientific meetings and workshops worldwide She gets invitation from different parts of the world to lecture on the success of hair transplant among Filipinos.
In 2014 ,she had her first privilege to lecture about her favorite topic , “Eyebrow Transplant by FUE Technique ” at the 22nd International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Annual Scientific Meeting in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia . She is also a contributing author, chapter on Eyebrow Transplantation in East and Southeast Asians ; 2nd edition of the book entitled:” Practical Aspects of Hair Transplantation in Asians”.
Dr. Arambulo is an international speaker and lectures in Metro Manila ,provinces and abroad about her experience in hair transplant .
A Fellow of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery) has successfully fulfilled specific requirements in their updated education pertaining to hair transplant. This achievement demonstrates their commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements, techniques, and practices in the field of hair restoration surgery. By maintaining their education, they ensure that they are equipped with the most current knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care to their patients.
In 2019 our board certified hair transplant surgeon became a Fellow of (ISHRS) She strongly supports the Mission and Vision of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery applying it as the guiding principles in hair transplant practice: “ To achieve excellence in patient outcomes by promoting member education, international collegiality ,research ,ethics and public awareness”.
In addition ,Dr. Arambulo now joins the ISHRS in initiating the Black Market Awareness Campaign to stop illegal practices in hair transplant .This year 2021, she is one of the ABHRS oral board examiners and a member of the ISHRS PRO BONO Committee.In 2010, our board certified hair transplant surgeon ,Dr. Arambulo opened the Asian Hair Restoration Center ( AHRC) where she can devote more time doing hair transplant procedure. Today ,our centre is blessed with an efficient and dedicated to excellence surgical team.
Dr.Arambulo continues to update herself with the new developments and techniques in hair restoration surgery by attending various scientific meetings and workshops worldwide . She updates her knowledge regularly by attending the ISHRS World Congress annual meetings and hair transplant surgery workshops in different parts of the world to learn the international standard in hair restoration surgery and attain the world class results. Currently, she is the Section Head of the Aesthetic Dermatology and the Head of hair Service at Wellness and Aesthetic Institute , The Medical City.
